Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner Review

So, for a while this liner remained the talk of the town for so many reasons. When it comes to big brand like benefit' we presume great outcomes. As we pay more for such brands we always look forward to get what we've payed for. Benefit is one of those brands which rarely disappoints us.
But this push-up liner has been a thumb down as compared to mascara from the same range. They're real mascara have got so many good reviews and had been one of my favorite mascaras of all time. But sadly this liner could not make a permanent place on my vanity table. Why???? Let's get a look

What Benefit has to say

This matte black gel formula is waterproof and won’t smudge, budge or dry out for 24 hours*. The innovative soft AccuFlex™ Tip hugs your lashline from corner to corner...the closer the line, the bigger the eye!

Packaging

Its a gel liner click pen which needs few clicks before use. The tip of the pen is AccuFlex which feels rubbery on skin (in layman language). Its a little flexible and comes with its protector. As its a gel formula so it is meant to dry out very quickly. This orange protector will prevent the gel from drying out but its nearly impossible to keep it till the every last bit of the product. Its so tiny that it gets lost on vanity in a moments (i actually lost one after the first use).

Application

sorry for the blur image

I tried to show how the actual product comes out when you click (twist) the pen few times. It comes out in a fine, thin strip, which if come out more will be wasted for nothing. I learnt its proper application after so many tries. Though its a pen liner but its AccuFlex tip makes it a Pro-job product. You need a lot of practice to get the idea of how many clicks will work for you. The amount shown in the picture will never be useful for application. It will break once you press it on you eye lid.
The tip is flexible and we need to press it on eye lid. Its soft so it wont hurt your eye lid. Application will be smooth until the tip has product then you need re-clicking. If you are used to of putting gel liners then it can work for you but can be a bit tricky for newcomers.
Advice: Since i have finished 2 pens so i found out the best way to apply.
Click the pen for just 2 times. You might not be able to see the gel coming out of the tip but believe me its there. Now when you press the tip on your eyelid it will creat a smooth line, free of flakes. When we have accurate amount of gel in the tip , we do not need reapplication as we do with other gel liners. We reaplly the gel with brush for few times to get a cleaned, smooth look. But with this pen you don't need to. It saves your time and energy if you have mastered the skill to perfectly use this tip.
See my picture below. Its a single application which is sharp, clean and without any clumps or over layered product.

Formula

Formula is dry and flaky. You need to work quickly as its gel and will dry out quickly (don't do mistake otherwise your makeup is ruined). As i told earlier, you need to be a pro to get maximum out of this product. If not then this can be a pain in a**. It dries out so quickly that if you want a reapplication then it will make it flaky. With a lot of practice you actually dnt need a reapplication but at start there will be. As you actually cant see how much product is there in the tip so you might end up layering a lot.  As they say it hugs your lashline, it actually is true because it creates a line as near to lashline as possible.

Pros

  • Jet black effect
